In
her third album in Italian, Marco Maratti and Angelo Valsiglio, they
are no more part of “Laura's work team", in their places, entered
Alfredo Cerruti Jr. and Dado Parisini. The change was made because
Pausini represented for them (Maratti and Valsiglio) just a source
of money, they didn't give chances for she to express herself.
"This
is my most important disk, I couldn’t and I cannot wander: now I
have much more responsibility. Therefore I decided to change the
work group, that took me straight to the success: because they
treated me as a child, without not even to listen my opinions. It is
fact that I can work how I want, in a straitght contact with authors,
musicians, producers, following the product of the beginning at the
end. And also writing, finally, the lyrics of a song: "Il Mondo che
Vorrei"."
Laura succeed in changing, because in her new work "Le Cose Che
Vivi", she got to show her grown artistic and personal sides, it is
not just an commercial album, as Valsiglio liked to do. This is her
work most elaborated, and the first destined to the international
market, counting with the presence of musicians of international
fame as the bassoonist Nathan East and the drummer Steve Ferrone
that are collaborating habitual of Eric Clapton and Phil Collins,
London Symphony Orchestra, governed by Geoff Wesley, also were
present in the music "Mi Dispiace ", without speaking that some
music were recorded at the famous studio Abbey Road, where Beatles
recorded their music. Seems also that with this third album, Pausini
made peace with the critics and the Italian press, all harmonize
that she grew. She grew, but without losing her "pure and sincere
feelings".

In her fourth
album: "Le Cose Che Vivi " that released on September 12,
1996, it was released in 32 countries, it has a complete
version in Spanish: " Las Cosas Che Vives " and a version in
Italian with 03 songs in Portuguese: "Tudo o que eu vivo",
"Inesquecível " and " Apaixonados Como Nós". Already were
sold more than 2 million copies all over the world. Laura
started in that album as composer, writing the music: " Il
Mondo Che Vorrei", but it isn’t only one more beautiful song,
it is also a message against the violence on behalf of the
children that suffer. And the royalties of that music will
be donated to UNICEF, that invited Laura to be its "ambassadress",
but she didn't accept, she could not be devoted entirely to
the work, but even so, she travels on behalf of the organ,
visiting children all over the world, that don't have so
much luck as we have or we had, and with those visits, Laura
also tries to sensitize the youths that live far away from
that reality, to help the ones needed, even that is just
with a smile, because this simple gesture can give hope to a
child. |
Laura Pausini was in Brazil in November 1996 for the release of the
Le Cose Che Vivi, it was the first time that she was here. She
appeared in some TV programs and she came back to Brazil to do
several concerts. Laura passed her birthday (16/05/97) in Brazil,
commemorating the date in the Banana Banana, in São Paulo.
Laura had concerts in
Rio de Janeiro, in São Paulo, Curitiba and
Porto Alegre. In all the concerts Laura has shown an
extraordinary person.
Before having
finished the world tour of Le Cose Che Vivi, tour that
traveled the whole world with a largest success, Laura had
already begun to compose songs for the new work. Among them,
"Un'Emergenza D'amore", the first single of the new work,
released on September 14, 1998. Laura and her best friend,
Cheope, composed this music, when they were in Rio de
Janeiro, for the concerts of the Le Cose Che Vivi tour.
With the
release of " Emergenza d'Amore ", the first released single
of "La Mia Risposta", everyone noticed an accentuated change
in the style of the Pausini's music, now much more dancing,
but not less romantic. That shows us Laura Pausini is not
afraid of changing, unlike a lot of people that never change
their way of singing for fear of losing the fans, Laura
Pausini is always changing, improving, what makes clear that
she is a person that always wants to give the best for her
public. |

Released on
October 15, 1998, La Mia Risposta, already in your title, it
indicates that the album is a response in music form to all
the interrogations that Laura was wondering since Le Cose
Che Vivi. The album was released in 50 countries, it has a
complete version in Italian and in Spanish and a song in
English, "Looking for an Angel", in both versions. This
song, it was especially composed by Phil Collins for Laura.
Laura received it as a gift, since he demonstrates to be
passionate for her voice. |
La
Mia Risposta was recorded in Milan, Hollywood and New York and it
counts with Nathan East presence in the bass, John Robinson in the
battery, Mike Landau in the electric guitar, Riccardo Galardini in
the rhythmic guitar and of Eric Buffat in the keyboard and still of
Alex Richbourg, rhythmic programmer of Janet Jackson, the
responsible for the change in the rhythm of the music, now much more
Soul/Pop than before.
"it was getting tired of always doing the same
things. Now, also thanks to Alex Richbourg and to his rhythms that
influenced a lot my way of singing, I don't scream anymore as a
lunatic "
The disk was produced by Alfredo Cerrutti Jr., Dado
Parisini and for Laura (she chose the musicians and the songs in
this work). Laura wanted to control each sentence of the production
and because of it, she has been several months in the recording
studio. In this album, Laura wrote two songs and others more in
partner with her faithful friend Cheope. One of the music that Laura
wrote by herself was " Buone Verità ", inspired in the poem "Vivi la
Vita" of Madre Teresa di Calcutá. In her songs, Pausini tries to use
an easy language, many songs are dialogues, like " Tu Cosa sogni",
“Anna dimmi sì ", "Buone verità", "Che bene mi fai". There's also an
autobiography, dedicate to herself: "Come Una Danza ".
In
La Mia Risposta, Laura comes with a new "look" very personal as in
the style of singing. The change in the visual is due to Laura's
fact to have discovered "a less innocent, more sensual side ".
According to her own: "ended in me the conflict of being woman in
the body and adolescent in the soul". And this change is reflected
in the disk, because it was born of Laura's physical desire to tell
who she is, with music that makes her not to use only the voice, but
also her body that she finally began to love.
"I
chose the musicians and the songs. I feel safer, I desire to respect
my physicist and I am not more afflicted in choosing: I can speak
openly of sensuality in the music ".
